“My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.”

— Psalm 108:1

Australian acoustic guitarist, Alan Gogoll was born and raised amongst the beauty of Tasmania, the perfect backdrop for the scenic sound scape he creates through his masterful instrumental compositions.

With an impressive 27 studio and live albums under his belt, including ‘Mulberry Mouse,’ ‘Bell’s Harmonic’ and ‘Through the Leaves,’ it’s no wonder Alan Gogoll’s music has reached millions of international followers across social media. Through Spotify alone, Gogoll has accumulated millions of listeners with his title track ‘Chime’ reaching 6.5 million streams.

His passion for the guitar began as a child, developing his craft through the years, experimenting with his beloved Åstrand guitar to create his signature bell harmonics. His skills as a guitarist have not gone unnoticed, with his Stringscape series on YouTube shining a light on his innovative design. Building a custom guitar and camera rig to capture the string vibrations of his music from inside the guitar while looking out on peaceful landscapes, his videos have embraced millions of viewers.

But it’s not just the online world where Alan Gogoll has flourished, his whimsical folk music has seen him tour across the globe from concert halls in Paris to Beijing and Osaka to Gothenburg. Spending much of his time overseas, Gogoll found himself back in his homeland of Australia before COVID-19 arrived.

While the pandemic has restricted his musical performances, he took the opportunity to spend time with loved ones and pour himself into new projects, including his latest studio album ‘Turtlebank Tales.’ Recorded by Gogoll himself in a makeshift studio, the album was released in late 2021, and tells the tale of woodland creatures who gather at the side of a riverbank. The album captures the essence of child-like wonder and imagination told through gentle melodic phrasings and unique harmonics.

Over the years, Alan Gogoll’s craftsmanship has earned him an array of awards where he was recently named Acoustic Guitarist of the Year by Guitar World and Guitar Player Magazine.
